PARIS PRIDE
Photographing a pride parade is always a balance between pleasure and professionalism. It is such a party atmosphere which makes it difficult not to get carried away in the moment. Protecting your gear from water cannons, glitter bombs and trying not to trip over while walking backwards are all part of the hazards of documenting such an event. The LGBTQ community still suffer great prejudice in our world so it was important for me to document this day where people were truly free to simply be. I aimed to capture the spirit of the day with these images. The fashion, the people and the moments that make me proud to be a pride supporter.
